Majorelle Garden and YSL Museum: Marrakech's Blue Jewel
Opening hours, prices, tickets, and visiting tips for Marrakech's unmissable cultural duo.
Among Marrakech's most cherished attractions, the Majorelle Garden and the Yves Saint Laurent Museum form an essential cultural pairing. This haven of freshness and vibrant color, steeped in history, is just minutes from the Medina.
An Artist's Garden that Became a Legend
Created by French painter Jacques Majorelle in the 1920s-1930s, the garden owes its fame to its iconic “Majorelle Blue,” an intense cobalt hue that adorns its walls, pots, and fountains. Purchased and saved from neglect by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, it now features an impressive botanical collection of bamboo, cacti, palms, and reflective pools. It also hosts the Berber Museum, dedicated to Amazigh culture.
The Yves Saint Laurent Museum
Adjacent to the garden, the Yves Saint Laurent Museum Marrakech celebrates the couturier's work through his iconic creations. With its contemporary architecture of brick and elegant curves, it is a significant destination for fashion and design enthusiasts.

Good to Know
This site is very popular: we recommend visiting early in the morning, right at opening, to enjoy the tranquility and optimal light. From Villa Soukarya, the journey is easily made by car or with the optional van and driver service. Extend your cultural day with lunch in the city before returning to the pool.
